Prof. Choi visited The Ohio State University and HealMod Institute in February. He presented a talk at our weekly Spring'25 Seminars titled Stochastic Epidemic Model Construction Based on the Network Modeling: Applications of a Korean COVID-19 Pandemic Data.  His research focuses on statistical inference for stochastic processes, particularly in biochemical reaction networks and epidemic modeling using a Bayesian approach. He leads the Research Center for Leading Talent in Data Science-based Healthy Society at Korea University, which established a collaborative agreement and MoU with HEALMOD in 2024. Prof. Choi has collaborated with Prof. Rempala and Prof. Kagunda since HEALMOD’s inception, and we look forward to continuing this partnership.
