I am an applied mathematician with a strong background in dynamical systems, numerical analysis, programming in R, Python, and ODE modeling. My research focus is developing and analyzing deterministic models of infectious diseases.

I seek to understand the interplay between transmission dynamics of infectious diseases, the environmental factors, human behavior and vectors population in public health. The mathematical models are used to fit data, estimate parameters important parameters for accurate prediction, gain insight on the disease spread, and to do assessment of the effectiveness of control strategies.

For effective public health interventions during an epidemic outbreak, there is need for a concerted, multi-disciplinary and convergent research, that brings together experts from different disciplines to tackle the problem together. This rich collaboration is what excites me as join HEALMOD to work on Dynamical Survival Analysis models for public health.
