I am a professor in the Division of Biostatistics with a courtesy appointment in the Mathematics Department. My work focuses on understanding the complexity of our world through interdisciplinary exploration, applying mathematical theories of complex systems, statistical methods, and mathematical principles. With expertise in genomic and genetic studies, population-level models, infectious diseases, surveillance problems, network dynamics, and network transmission models, I aim to unravel the dynamic phenomena shaping our health and our environment.
Collaborating closely with colleagues as a member of the HEALMOD core Faculty, we analyze and predict behaviors of models derived from data collected across social, environmental, and epidemiological studies impacting human health. I am excited about deciphering the mysteries of genomics, infectious diseases, and network dynamics through rigorous analysis and innovative modeling approaches, as we strive to harness data-driven insights for a healthier future.
